Pistachios

A Passion for Pistachio Nuts

The passion for pistachio nuts can be traced to ancient times. Valued for their exquisite taste, pistachios were eaten by kings, queens and their entourage.

Fortunately, in the 21st century, you don't have to be a king or queen to eat like one. Setton Farms, with the aid of modern technology, provides customers with the highest quality pistachios at affordable prices.

Setton's History

Setton International Foods, Setton Pistachio, and Setton Farms, have been selling pistachio nuts since 1963. We have been processing California pistachios since 1986 and farming California pistachios since 1989. Over time, we have grown and integrated all production facets of our businesses to become the second largest processor of pistachio nuts in the United States.

Setton Pistachio's Capabilities

Our Terra Bella, California pistachio processing facility is located on 36 acres, with over 150,000 square feet of processing capabilities, including cold, dry and silo storage in excess of 60 million pounds. We farm our own land as well as work in partnership with other growers; totaling in excess of 5,000 acres of pistachio orchards.

Setton's Philosophy

Our #1 priority is to treat our customers right. This extends not only to the final consumer that will enjoy the taste of our pistachios, but also to our family of growers with whom we partner to bring those pistachios to market. We believe that producing the highest quality products and building relationships with our customers will not only win the taste buds of our customers, but also keep them coming back. This business philosophy was bred the day we began business in 1963 and remains steadfast today. Being successful means keeping our extended family of employees, growers and customers excited about producing the best tasting pistachios for the long term.

How Setton Does It

We learned long ago that producing the best tasting pistachio nuts starts with the growing process. From the moment a seed is planted to the moment the pistachios are picked from the tree, our orchards follow strict cultivation standards. Technological advances have yielded variations in the methodology for processing pistachios. Setton has selected the best strategies to create a state of the art processing facility in Terra Bella, California. Never satisfied, we encourage the creativity of our engineers to enhance existing processes and develop custom machinery that will sustain us at the frontier of technical development. We believe that the best ideas are always within reach, and for that reason our employees continue to be the most powerful asset for technical development.
